Nu-real is a timeline of photomontage from 1857-2007.
Long before PhotoShop layers artists and photographers were working with photomontage. It began in the 1850's with combination printing, the process of printing more than one negative on to one sheet of paper. Photographers began working with long exposure, double exposure, and collage to create surreal photomontages. This website is a timeline which highlights artists and methods. Fun and interesting!
