Flood Tide: Remix - a special screening

MCASD continues its series of films exploring artists and topics related to its current exhibition, Viva la Revolucion: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape.
"FLOOD TIDE: REMIXED (Todd Chandler | The Hudson River, NY | 50 min.)
It was the summer the gas stations closed. The summer they played music in the old mill. The summer they left. Flood Tide tells the story of four musicians who craft extraordinary boats out of whatever junk they can find and set out for open water. A remixed version of the film -- accompanied by a live musical score by chamber folk sextet Dark Dark Dark."

Join MCASD for an exclusive screening of remixed footage from the film Flood Tide, in advance of the feature film’s release. The film documents a collective journey, including the voyage of the Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea, a collaborative project by Viva la Revolucion artist Swoon, and the unpredictable experiences of an eclectic group of artists and performers.

Screening only at a small handful of locations in its remixed form, this special event will include a musical score composed and performed live on stage by the band and film cast members Dark, Dark, Dark.

$10 MCASD Members; $20 General
The screening and performance will be held two nights only at MCASD La Jolla: Thursday, December 16 and Friday, December 17.

**Tickets available for purchase at MCASD front desks starting Thursday, 11/11 for Members and Saturday, 11/13 for Non-Members. Special Offer: When you purchase tickets for Flood Tide: Remixed on or before November 18, receive $5 off regular pricing.
